Miniature resistance thermometer in a metal sleeve for installation in bearing shells, thrust and journal bearing pads. The sensor measures the bearing metal temperature directly beneath the running surface – the most reliable early indicator of an oil film starting to break down. Insulated strands and a robust sleeve withstand rough assembly.
