Clamp-on and surface sensors Pt100
Clamp-on sensors measure at the pipe wall instead of in the medium — no nozzle, no intervention in the process, retrofittable during operation. The measuring insert sits in a clamp-on block that is welded on, screwed on or fixed with a tension band.
The measured temperature is that of the pipe wall, not that of the medium. On well-insulated lines the two are close together; on thin-walled, uninsulated pipes the measuring point should be insulated as well.
