Converting Schramm types to GHI

Since 1 January 2025 GHI has continued the temperature measurement business of Schramm GmbH. All Schramm series continue under a new GHI type designation — with identical installation dimensions. A replacement at existing measuring points is therefore possible without modification.

This table assigns every former designation to its present type. The order confirmation remains authoritative for the version.

Sensor series

The W series are resistance thermometers with Pt100 or Pt1000, the T series thermocouples. Where the catalogue names two GHI types, the first is the Pt version and the second the thermocouple version of the same form.

Thermowells

We also supply the thermowells on their own, as a replacement for existing measuring points — with a 3.1 material test certificate to EN 10204 on request.

Have the old article number to hand?

We hold the order numbers and production numbers of Schramm GmbH. Give us the number from the nameplate, from an old delivery note or from a drawing — we will supply the identical version without you having to put the order key together again.

What stays the same — and what you should check

• Staying the same installation dimensions, process connection, thermowell geometry and connection head form.
• Newly named are the type designation and the order key — the codes now follow the GHI scheme, which you can work through in the configurator of the respective series.
• You should check the Ex marking: our approvals are our own type-examination certificates, so the marking on the nameplate reads differently from Schramm. What it says is explained on the page Explosion protection.
