Clamp-on and surface sensor, thermocouple
Clamp-on sensors measure at the pipe wall instead of in the medium — no nozzle, no intervention in the process, retrofittable during operation. The measuring insert sits in a clamp-on block that is welded on, screwed on or fixed with a tension band.
The thermocouple version goes up to +400 °C and reacts faster; the measured temperature is that of the pipe wall, not that of the medium.
